
New Mexico resident honored for her dedication to teaching Dahn Yoga to co-workers
Dahn Yoga and Health Centers recently featured a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, in one of its community spotlights. Jennifer Souhrada was honored by the organization for her dedication to the holistic mind-body regimen and her eagerness to share its benefits with her co-workers.
Souhrada was first introduced to Dahn Yoga at a health fair, where she signed up to give the Eastern art a try. After engaging in the gentle stretches, soothing poses and breathing exercises, she realized that this community was exactly where she belonged. Five years after taking her first class, she became a certified instructor in order to share the positive effects with others.
Having worked in the stressful real estate industry for years, Souhrada understood the need for a calming regimen to alleviate day-to-day tension and anxiety.
She began offering free lessons to her colleagues in order to help them enhance their physical, mental and emotional well-being.
"I feel like a proud mama, like my little babies are really coming along!" she said, adding that the addition of Dahn Yoga to the work environment has helped boost morale and productivity.
