Can men and women be friends? That is the central question of the 1989 American classic When Harry Met Sally. Many Dahn Yoga participants are also looking for inspirational stories and there is no better inspiration for love than the romantic comedy starring Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, written by Nora Ephron. Watching Dahn Yoga DVDs can be followed up by watching When Harry Met Sally.

The plot of the movie follows Harry Burns and Sally Albright who meet following their college graduation in Chicago and drive together to New York City. Harry and Sally discuss the question of whether or not men and women can be friends without the relationship turning physical.

Harry and Sally do not become friends right away, but five years later, when they are both in relationships with other people, they meet again. Once more, they are unable to put aside their differences but ultimately, through further chance meetings, they become friends and then lovers.

The movie navigates common questions that men and women have about one another and about relationships in general, while providing much comedy and insights. Ultimately, it is an inspirational movie highlighted by segments of old couples – shown in interview-style episodes – reminiscing about the journey of their romance.
